Balerno Theatre Company

Balerno Theatre Company is a community-based theatre company, performing annually (and sometimes more) to sell out crowds in the Church Hill Theatre, Edinburgh.

Our rehearsals start 6 months before show time on Thursday evenings, with additional rehearsals on Tuesdays (and the occasional Saturday) as show time approaches.

Our emphasis is on fun and professionalism, as we truly believe it is possible to have both, and our track record proves that.

We have been going since 1999, drawing performers and audiences from all over Edinburgh, with a dedicated team of front and backstage helpers of all ages.

We normally have a cast of at least 65 singers and actors, of all ages, from all over Edinburgh. If you don’t fancy the limelight then there’s always a need for extra helpers with props, make-up, costume making, fundraising etc
